Sustainability Takeover of Iron Age Museum

Crannog Centre:

Joanne was invited to become a University of Glasgow Visiting Academic by the UNESCO RILA, which led to a two-day RoundView Sustainability Takeover at the Crannog Centre. The Crannog Centre is an open museum celebrating the Iron Age and inspiring new thinking about crafts and our relationship with the natural world.

This project was seen as offering a powerful opportunity to interpret our heritage in new ways. Members of the UNESCO Chair in Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts team were present to document the takeover and to hold information sessions, short workshop activities and discussions with Visitors throughout both days. The Centre is trialling new ways to integrate RoundView games into their outdoor exhibits and work with school groups in 2023.
